Developed on-line interactive interface to minicomputer batch database used to assess daily net trading positions and risk exposure for trading accounts at Banker's Trust. PC-based Smalltalk front end (written in Easel's Enfin for Windows) retrieved data from Sybase tables using SQL calls to Sybase stored procedures. Through the stored procedure calls embedded in the PC Smalltalk front end, user updated Sybase tables across the network while still subject to accounting safeguards built into the Sybase database. The PC front end performed risk calculations, which were then updated in the Sybase tables.
